(NaturalNews) Is fat good or bad for you? Does cholesterol cause heart attacks? Can we safely eat salt or not? These questions, plus many more, have stressed out (and confused) millions of people for too long. Sadly, we have been nutritionally misled and forget to ask the most obvious question.

What does a natural (human) diet really look like? Obviously, if we discover the right foods for our body, then we would never worry about obesity or disease - for as long as we live. Diet "experts" should be ignored if they are only talking about restrictive meal plans. Let's learn how to thrive - not just avoid disease.

On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour - Daniel Vitalis, nutrition and personal development strategist will set the record straight. Visit: http://www.naturalhealth365.com and enter your email address for FREE show details + a FREE gift! Don't miss this important program.

Myth #1: A high-fat diet will make you fat

We're seeing an epidemic of obesity throughout the modern world. In fact, it represents one of the greatest health threats to humanity. So, if genes are not blame - it must be our "high-fat" diet, right? Well, since the 1970's, we've (unfortunately) been brainwashed to believe the unscientific garbage that dietary fat causes body fat.

In all fairness, it would seem logical since fat contains nine calories per gram - more than double the amount found in proteins or carbohydrates. But, the truth is, science tells us a very different story. Pioneering research by Harvard Medical School's David Ludwig reveals the reason why low-fat diets do not work and the true cause of obesity for most individuals.

In fact, Dr. Lundell has stated, "the long-established dietary recommendations have created epidemics of obesity and diabetes, the consequences of which dwarf any historical plague in terms of mortality, human suffering and dire economic consequences." If you want to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle - look to consume healthy fats like, coconut oil on a daily basis.

Myth #2: Saturated fat and cholesterol is bad for the heart

The truth is we need saturated fat and cholesterol for proper hormone function; metabolizing calcium and cellular integrity. Healthy fats like, coconut oil actually help to kill (unwanted) bacteria, infections and reduce cellular inflammation - the root cause of many degenerative diseases like, cancer and heart disease.

Still think saturated fat is bad for you? Well, did you know that, Maasai and Rendille Tribes in Africa have some of the lowest rates of heart disease - yet they consume a diet consisting of 65 percent saturated fat and a high amount of cholesterol through red meat and fermented grass-fed dairy products. In addition, the Eskimos consume a 75 percent saturated fat diet - yet have extremely low rates of heart disease. Well, I guess we can throw this myth out the window.

Myth #3: I feel great, so I must be eating healthy

Unfortunately, going by how you feel can end up being a deadly mistake. For example, did you know the vast majority of all heart attack patients never had a heart problem before ending up in the emergency room with their first (near-death) experience?

In reality, every cell in our body is hit with over 10,000 free radicals - every second. Our heart muscle rebuilds all 60 billion cells - every 7 months. And, every day, we generate 10,000 to 100,000 cancer cells that our immune system (hopefully) can destroy and eliminate out of our body. But, the truth is, we don't always feel what's really going on inside of us - day to day.
