FDA caught running 'paranoid, retaliatory' institutionalized spying ring

(NaturalNews) The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which has been explicitly tasked under the law with overseeing the safety of food, drugs, and medical devices for the purpose of protecting the American people, has officially been exposed for engaging in a massive, agency-wide criminal spying operation that does quite the opposite of this.

Truth-out.org reports that new information has recently surfaced confirming that the FDA's upper ranks are actively suppressing the truth about the dangers of many drugs and medical devices by intimidating their own employees. And these FDA officials have actually set up a comprehensive spying ring that targets whistleblowers and others who attempt to sound the alarm about the agency's extreme corruption.

Corrupt FDA attempts to silence its honest scientists

It all began several years ago when the FDA decided to track and monitor those within its lower ranks that it believed may have been leaking confidential information about the agency's activities. Once the FDA got wind of the fact that there were many of its own ready to speak out against the agency's corrupt activities; however, including its coalescence with the drug industry, the agency's top dogs launched a full-on crusade against all FDA naysayers.

As an agency, the FDA began to intercept the emails of its own scientists that were suspected of being whistleblowers, or who "knew too much," so to speak, about the agency's perpetual habit of approving unsafe medical devices and drugs to please its masters in the drug industry. FDA defectors, who are really the only honest individuals at the agency who are actually performing their lawful duties, became targets of the higher-ups who are now grasping at straws to maintain the agency's status quo.

"It has been brought to our attention that FDA management may have just recently ordered the FDA Office of Criminal Investigations (OCI) to investigate us, rather than the managers who have engaged in wrongdoing!" wrote a group of concerned FDA scientists in a recent letter to the White House. "It is an outrage that our own Agency would step up the retaliation to such a level because we have reported their wrongdoing to the United States Congress."

FDA scientists who dare to question the unethical and flat-out dishonest protocols of their superiors, in other words, are being punished and threatened rather than those who are actually committing the real crimes. What this reveals, of course, is that the FDA routinely coerces its own scientists to cover up the truth and lie about the safety of drugs and medical devices in order to ensure their rapid approval.

Be sure to check out the recent Truth-out.org interview with Dr. Ronald Kavanagh, B.S. Pharm., Pharm.D., Ph.D, an FDA drug reviewer who is one of many that has encountered the wrath of FDA superiors for trying to do his job honestly. In the interview, Dr. Kavanagh explains how he and many others have routinely been told never to question drug companies, and to always approve drugs, regardless of whether or not they can actually be proven safe and effective:
