By that, I mean suicide for the entire human race. In our modern world, brilliant scientists have obtained remarkable technical mastery but operate as hopeless infants in the realm of philosophy, ethics and wisdom. (This is an apt description of Bill Gates in particular.) Today's scientists who advocate GMOs, vaccines, nuclear power, bioweapons research and artificial intelligence are like
little children with flamethrowers who lack the life experience and wider view needed to understand the long-term implications of their present-day actions.
Time and time again, the very brightest minds in the realm of "science" have proven themselves to be wildly inaccurate at anticipating the consequences of their experiments. When experiments went wrong in, say, the 1870's, it only destroyed one laboratory or room; but when experiments go wrong in 2012 (and beyond), they have the capability of
destroying life as we know it on our planet.

• Throughout the Nazi-led mass extermination of the Jewish people in World War II, IBM's top computer scientists provided key technologies that allowed Hitler's minions to more "efficiently" exterminate prisoners and organize work camps.

antibiotics in hospitals and animal feed has been such a total failure that recently the
World Health Organization declared our world has entered a "post-antibiotics era" where antibiotics are on the verge of being rendered totally useless.
