What are some options for coping with these stressful situations we encounter on a daily basis? There are several, but one effective option for coping with stress is aromatherapy. Aromatherapy is the utilization of essential oils for therapeutic healing and maintenance of good health. Aromatherapy is especially useful because it can be administered to yourself and can even be used IN the workplace if necessary. With only a little information and common sense aromatherapy can be a very beneficial work place stress reducer. One way to utilize essential oils for aromatherapy is a pendant. Many people wear pendants that carry their personal essential oil blends. These blends can be utilized in carrier oils that can then be massaged into places where stress often accumulates, like the neck or the temples. There are also small essential oil dispensers that can sit right on a computer monitor to provide stress-relieving aromas into one's personal work space. Another useful aromatherapy treatment is a floral water spray scented with the scents beneficial to a person's individual needs. Not only will the mist be beneficial for aromatherapy, but the mist also adds moisture into the air. Floral waters are also useful when misted on the face for a natural "pick me up."
