Author Sylvia LeDoux argues that we are damaging our immune systems and giving ourselves diseases by the poor quality of our food. Find out how and why in her important and revealing new book, Understanding Our Epidemic and Changes in the Food Industry Which Could be Making You Sick.

Are you really what you eat? Sylvia LeDoux thinks so. In Understanding Our Epidemic and Changes in the Food Industry Which Could be Making You Sick, she explains how the food we ingest directly influences every organ system in our bodies. Combining her extensive technical and medical knowledge as a histology technician with personal experience, LeDoux presents complex information in a way that everyone can understand.

LeDoux was frustrated for years with her inherited food intolerance. While doctors wanted to prescribe pills, she sought the underlying answer and discovered that food—specifically the processed foods on the market and in restaurants today—were the culprit. Being sick is not normal, argues LeDoux, and with the right diet, we can all reclaim our birthright of being healthy.

Understanding Our Epidemic and Changes in the Food Industry Which Could be Making You Sick is available for sale online at Amazon.com, Borders.com, and through additional wholesale and retail channels worldwide.

About the Author Sylvia LeDoux inherited her lactose intolerance from her Native American ancestry. This intolerance jumpstarted her lifetime endeavor, including years of reading and research, to discover how the food we eat causes the diseases we get. Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a Histology Technician, she has extensive experience in histology laboratory work at Texas Tech University, West Texas Hospital, and St. Mary Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. LeDoux also earned a BFA from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. Also a renowned artist, LeDoux uses her talent to reinforce visually the information found inside of her book.
