• You say you provide healthy food for the children who attend your schools.
• Have you read the ingredients on a granola bar package?
• You might as well be selling candy bars.
• Flavored yogurts are packed with sugar and artificial flavors and colors.
• I had to laugh at the comment about eggnog being a hot seller during the holiday season.
• Is that supposed to be healthy because it has milk in it?
• And please don't keep using your salad as an example of kids making healthy choices.
• A salad consisting of nitrite-laced lunchmeats and nutritionally void iceberg lettuce topped with a dressing made of partially hydrogenated oil is not health food.
• Maybe you aren't able to change the school menu right now, but please don't go around claiming that you are health-conscious and using ridiculous examples to back it up.
• School administrators say they would like the "real" problems addressed in schools instead of the silly junk-food talk.
• Maybe if students ate a decent lunch of whole foods instead of the processed garbage that is standard fare at most schools, they would be better able to stay focused and actually learn something without having to be pumped full of Ritalin every day.
• About the only person who made sense in the entire article was the man who suggested removing white bread from the menu.
• Somebody make that guy head of the School Board.
