Dell recalls 35,000 laptop batteries due to fire risk

The recall affects several different models of Dell notebooks sold between October 5, 2004, and October 13, 2005. The batteries pose a potential fire hazard, but all reports have been of damaged furniture. Dell will replace the batteries for free.
