Headache statistics in our country are astronomical. According to the American Headache Society:

* Every 10 seconds, someone in the United States goes to the emergency room with a headache or migraine.

* More than $1 billion is spent on over-the-counter medications to treat headaches and Migraines.

* The lost work due to migraine disease costs more than $13 billion every year in the U.S.

These are just a few of the thousands of statistics that are available about headaches and their impact on society. If people stop to think about it they may wonder, when technology exists that puts humans on the moon and cameras on Mars, why have we not found a solution to the problems associated with migraines and the common headache.

New medications are constantly introduced claiming to prevent and cure the pain and frequency of headaches, but statistics continue to show that they are not working, and a “miracle drug” for headaches and migraines has yet to be found.

Perhaps we have been looking for the solution in the wrong place. Is it possible that the solution lies not in the hands of giant pharmaceutical companies, but someplace you can actually visit, and perhaps in a building you pass everyday on your way to work or elsewhere?Could the solution be so simple that it can be found in your neighborhood chiropractic office?

Many sufferers frequently turn to chiropractic care for treatment. Unfortunately, one of the biggest misconceptions about chiropractors is that they are “back crackers”, and exist only to help people with back and neck problems. This misconception is so far from the truth that if people could get beyond it they would find that a chiropractor could be the “miracle” they’ve been looking for.

One chiropractor that has had tremendous success treating headaches and migraines naturally is Lee Weiner, D.C., of Oceanside Sports Chiropractic in Oceanside, New York. He has learned through education and experience that poor posture and spinal injuries are major causes of headaches, and by simply taking the pressure off of irritated nerves and/or relaxing the muscles attached to the skull, the intensity and recurrence rate of headaches and migraines can drastically be improved.

"Poor posture and spinal injuries causes the spine to come out of alignment," explained Dr. Weiner. "When this occurs the surrounding nerves are irritated causing the muscles to go into spasm. The spasmed muscles, which attach onto the skull, cause a viselike pain in the head. Chiropractic adjustments to the vertebra takes the pressure off the irritated nerves and allows the muscles to relax."

Dr. Weiner treats headache patients daily, and though many are skeptical at first (especially if they are among the millions who have tried every pill available and found no relief), they are often amazed at the results they get. One of Dr. Weiner’s patients, Mike Bottelli, reports, "I had a severe accident on the job several years ago in which a door fell onto my head. I had severe headaches since that day. The headaches were so bad I could not even make it through the day at work. Since I have been going to Dr. Weiner my headaches have disappeared. Even my 8 year old daughter noticed."

Stories like this are not uncommon for chiropractic patients of Dr. Weiner. Melissa Pina relied heavily on over-the-counter medications. She finally found Dr. Weiner and after a few treatments stated, "I no longer have the need to take Motrin." Another patient, Jayne Carlton, who, along with back pain also suffered from frequent headaches, added, "I am happy to say that my back doesn't hurt and my headaches are rare."

Dr. Weiner is currently accepting new patients, so if you live or work in Oceanside, Long Beach, Rockville Centre, or the surrounding New York areas and need headache relief or chiropractic care, you can make an appointment by calling (516) 255-0272. Although Dr. Weiner is best known for his success with headache relief, his clinic offers various other chiropractic programs and treatments, including Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Orthotics, Diagnostic Testing, and more.

Dr. Weiner graduated Suma Cum Laude from Life University in 1998. His postgraduate studies include receiving the CCEP (Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner) designate. This certification enables him to treat and rehabilitate sports injuries to the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and feet. He is also a Personal Trainer certified through the American Council on Exercise. Oceanside Sports Chiropractic is a member of the Oceanside Chamber Of Commerce, and Dr. Weiner was recently accepted for membership on the Internet’s most exclusive chiropractor directory, www.therightchiropractor.com.

About the author:Mike Adams (aka the "Health Ranger") is a best selling author (#1 best selling science book on Amazon.com) and a globally recognized scientific researcher in clean foods. He serves as the founding editor of NaturalNews.com and the lab science director of an internationally accredited (ISO 17025) analytical laboratory known as CWC Labs. There, he was awarded a Certificate of Excellence for achieving extremely high accuracy in the analysis of toxic elements in unknown water samples using ICP-MS instrumentation. Adams is also highly proficient in running liquid chromatography, ion chromatography and mass spectrometry time-of-flight analytical instrumentation.

Adams is a person of color whose ancestors include Africans and Native American Indians. He's also of Native American heritage, which he credits as inspiring his "Health Ranger" passion for protecting life and nature against the destruction caused by chemicals, heavy metals and other forms of pollution.

Adams is the founder and publisher of the open source science journal Natural Science Journal, the author of numerous peer-reviewed science papers published by the journal, and the author of the world's first book that published ICP-MS heavy metals analysis results for foods, dietary supplements, pet food, spices and fast food. The book is entitled Food Forensics and is published by BenBella Books.

In his laboratory research, Adams has made numerous food safety breakthroughs such as revealing rice protein products imported from Asia to be contaminated with toxic heavy metals like lead, cadmium and tungsten. Adams was the first food science researcher to document high levels of tungsten in superfoods. He also discovered over 11 ppm lead in imported mangosteen powder, and led an industry-wide voluntary agreement to limit heavy metals in rice protein products.

In addition to his lab work, Adams is also the (non-paid) executive director of the non-profit Consumer Wellness Center (CWC), an organization that redirects 100% of its donations receipts to grant programs that teach children and women how to grow their own food or vastly improve their nutrition. Through the non-profit CWC, Adams also launched Nutrition Rescue, a program that donates essential vitamins to people in need. Click here to see some of the CWC success stories.

With a background in science and software technology, Adams is the original founder of the email newsletter technology company known as Arial Software. Using his technical experience combined with his love for natural health, Adams developed and deployed the content management system currently driving NaturalNews.com. He also engineered the high-level statistical algorithms that power SCIENCE.naturalnews.com, a massive research resource featuring over 10 million scientific studies.

Adams is well known for his incredibly popular consumer activism video blowing the lid on fake blueberries used throughout the food supply. He has also exposed "strange fibers" found in Chicken McNuggets, fake academic credentials of so-called health "gurus," dangerous "detox" products imported as battery acid and sold for oral consumption, fake acai berry scams, the California raw milk raids, the vaccine research fraud revealed by industry whistleblowers and many other topics.

Adams has also helped defend the rights of home gardeners and protect the medical freedom rights of parents. Adams is widely recognized to have made a remarkable global impact on issues like GMOs, vaccines, nutrition therapies, human consciousness.

In addition to his activism, Adams is an accomplished musician who has released over a dozen popular songs covering a variety of activism topics.
