NTT's RedTacton makes broadband networking possible via human skin

Japanese communications company NTT introduces RedTacton, a new system that enables broadband interconnectivity through human skin. RedTacton can be embedded in gadgets or simply carried in one's pocket. It will be usable in distances of about 20cm from the body of the carrier. RedTacton does not introduce any electronic currents in the body; rather, it utilizes the electric field that is normally present on the skin surface.
