Internet leak of Star Wars film a trap for file-sharing services

Some people believe that the internet 'leak' of Revenge of the Sith, the latest StarWars movie, was a trap for file-sharing networks. Given how fast the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) took action against Elite Torrent, BitTorrent's indexing site, many are guessing foul play. The movie leak allegedly gave the FBI and US Immigration and Customs Enforcement fuel for the fire: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith was “available for downloading on the network more than six hours before it was first shown in theatres” and in the next 24 hours, “was downloaded more than 10,000 times.” Legal action, especially concerning online pirating, has never moved so fast. Though the movie is breaking records in theaters, the MPAA is insisting that pirating is a great danger to revenues.
